Karen Brodie Archibald is thrilled to invite you to her studio for a special preview of the first completed 10 pieces of her Stations of the Cross series. This is a lifelong project that has been in the works since 2009, and now has been in the production phase since January 2025.
Location: 1502 Fir Crescent, Golden BC
Time: 2pm - 7pm
With a goal to complete all 14 Stations by January 2026, in time for its premiere exhibition at the Italian Cultural Centre in Vancouver BC, Karen invites you into her studio for a "first look" at the completed works so far. Witnessing the Stations up close — the depth, textures, details of the journey of Jesus Christ from condemnation to death on the cross — is a powerful and connective process to experience. Karen has seen and felt the connections and revelations that are possible through this project and hopes that others, regardless of spiritual journeys, will experience the same.
But wait! There will be more activities to participate in at this event (in-person only):

✨ Raffle tickets for specialty Karen Brodie Art products
✨ Cut a piece of fabric and add your contribution to the in-progress Station 11!
✨ Help us choose our Anchor Image for the Il Centro exhibition!
A silent auction will also be held online through our website for an original piece of Karen Brodie artwork — "Narcissus", a 50 x 50” fabric banner on a 2x2 wooden frame from Karen's exhibition series "Up Close". This auction process is available for everyone online and the winner will be announced via livestream during the Open Studio!
*Please note: should the winner of the silent auction be located outside of Golden, the "Narcissus" piece will need to be disassembled for shipping and reassembled upon receipt.
**Should the winner of the silent auction be located in the United States, shipping this product may be subject to additional fees or tariffs due to importation of art. Karen will be in touch should this need to be arranged.
Entry is FREE to this event. Donations are gratefully accepted for the ongoing fundraising process for this project.
